Recs - What We're Reading, Watching, Listening To, etc. (Week of June 29, 2020)
1. When Wisdom 2.0 first announced livestream meditations with Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn to help people through the COVID-19 era, they nearly broke Zoom. Happily, they've posted all 66 episodes to their YouTube channel. Check them out.
2. I read about hanging eucalyptus leaves in your shower a few months ago, and now I'm hooked! I love the way they smell and the freshness of nature they bring to the indoors. Since they're preserved, they last awhile. When we're spending so much time at home these days, it's nice to have a reminder of the great outdoors.
3. Hey Gen Xers (and above): Subscribe to Amava's free newsletter for ways to stay socially active and engaged. Think volunteer opportunities, flexible jobs and bucket list-type of virtual adventures to keep yourself involved in community. Because loneliness kills, y'all.
4. If you're a fan of motivational/wellness card decks, check out this gorgeous "The Universe Has Your Back" set by Gabby Bernstein. I have this deck, along with Louise Hay's "How to Love Yourself" affirmation cards. Not only are they helpful, they are also beautiful! Pull a card every morning and spend a few minutes focusing on the message to help you feel centered for the day ahead.
