2. Motivational speaker and poet Adam Roa's Permission album (explicit) mixes spoken word, poetry and song to raise issues of self-worth, social injustice and love. Adam blew up after his "You Are Who You've Been Looking For" spoken word performance went viral with 2 million views and counting. The album's also available on Spotify.

4. If you have kids in your life, you may want to sit down and watch the NBC Nightly News - Kids Edition with them. Interviews with kids make current events accessible, and the short, entertaining clips focus on positive ways for kids to make a difference.
